Alexandra Turshen

Formerly a ballet dancer, Alexandra turned to acting after a career ending injury in her first year with a professional company. She then graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in History and International Human Rights. Alexandra also got involved with theater and was the starting goalie of her school’s ice hockey team. She studied abroad in Argentina for a semester where she further explored her interest in Human Rights through a close examination of la Guerra Sucia. Down the road, Alexandra plans to merge her love of acting and storytelling with stories of people and places she has studied and cares deeply about.

When Alexandra isn’t acting, she enjoys writing, reading books older than her, binge watching her favorite shows (currently Borgen and Key and Peele), researching perfumes (the way to her heart is through her nose) and learning about all things photography.

Alexandra is best known for her recurring role of ‘Misty’ in Steven Soderbergh’s Red Oaks, an original Amazon series, and ‘Francesca’ in Eric Schaeffer’s Boy Meets Girl. For more on Alexandra go to www.alexandraturshen.com and follow her on Twitter @alextursh
